Privacy Policy

The short version: No accounts. No sign-ins. Your game progress stays on your device. Idle Squishy shows optional rewarded ads, served by Google AdMob (iOS) and GameDistribution (web), which may use device identifiers. You can opt out at any time via your system privacy settings — the game stays fully playable.

Who we are

Idle Squishy is made by AppSyntax, a solo studio run by Harrison White in New South Wales, Australia. This policy covers the Idle Squishy app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the Idle Squishy web game at idlesquishy.com.

Information we collect directly

None.

AppSyntax does not collect, request, or store any personal information directly. Specifically, we do not collect:

Names, emails, or accounts (there is no sign-up or login).
Location, contacts, photos, or files.
Our own analytics, usage data, or crash reports.

Your game data

Your progress (currency, squishies, upgrades, skins, achievements, Squish Gem balance, boosts, and settings) is saved locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to AppSyntax. Deleting the app removes this data. The optional "Export Save" feature simply puts a copy of your save on your own clipboard for you to keep or move; it is not sent anywhere.

Third-party ads

Idle Squishy displays optional rewarded ads (for example, to double your offline earnings or grant a free time-boost). To do this we use two third-party ad providers:

iOS app: Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to deliver more relevant ads, subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission you grant or deny on first launch. Google's privacy policy.
Web version: GameDistribution.com SDK. GameDistribution and its ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies. GameDistribution's privacy statement.

You can decline ad tracking at any time in your device settings — the game remains fully playable, and rewarded ads will still work (they just won't be personalized).

In-app purchases

The iOS app offers optional in-app purchases of "Squish Gems" (a virtual currency). These purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. AppSyntax never sees your payment details — Apple handles the transaction and shares only the verified receipt with the app so we can grant your gems. Children

Idle Squishy is suitable for all ages. AppSyntax does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads served by Google AdMob and GameDistribution may be subject to their own child-directed safeguards; we have configured both providers' SDKs to use family-safe ad content where supported.

Your rights

Because AppSyntax does not collect or store any personal information about you, there is no account or profile to access, modify, or delete. For data held by our ad providers or by Apple, please refer to their respective privacy policies linked above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes meaningfully (for example, if we add a new analytics or ad provider), we'll update it here and revise the "Last updated" date. The current version always lives at idlesquishy.com/privacy.html.
